The July 21 cover of The New Yorker magazine could make any black woman angry. My first thought was 'Oh no, why does Michelle Obama have to have an Afro?' But taking a closer look I couldn't help but laugh because it is all so unbelievable. In my opinion "The New Yorker" has done its job.

There has been much talk about whether there is a continued need for historically black colleges and universities. Most agree that they played an instrumental role in the development and integration of blacks into American society, but now some say our society has matured past the point of needing these institutions.
While watching television the other day, I noticed the amount of commercials that make reference to the "going green" concept. From the heavily advertised eco-friendly car, to "energy star" appliances, the commercialization of the concept is more and more prevalent in the media.
I started college with an emphasis of entrepreneurship as a business major. After three and a half years, I came to the decision that I had chosen a degree path that I was not pleased with. I wanted to be an entrepreneur because I had always viewed myself as a leader and someone who had fresh ideas.
