Is it Cheaper to Keep Her?

Ok, can some one please explain to me why are these public figure wives, standing by their cheating, lying and scandalous husbands after they humiliate them in front of the whole world? If my man even embarrasses me in the club, I have to rethink our relationship! I just don't understand how Silda Spitzer, wife of the former governor of New York, Eliot Spitzer, can stand next to her husband as he apologizes for allegedly spending thousands of dollars in a prostitution ring, without smacking him up side his head every time he opens his mouth. How do you not speak out about the disrespect, disloyalty, and distain she must feel for the man who was suppose to uphold those things first and foremost to her? What could she possibly gain from playing stupid?
Now that I think about it, she might not be as dumb as I think. Former New Jersey Gov. Jim McGreevey's wife, Dina Matos McGreevey, appeared in numerous magazines and on dozens of TV shows after her husband came out as gay. Suzanne Craig, the wife of Idaho Sen. Larry Craig had her 15 minutes of fame after her husband was accused of soliciting sex in an airport bathroom, and let's not forget Vanessa Bryant's $4 million ring after Kobe Bryant, professional basketball player for the Lakers, was charged with the alleged rape of the Colorado resort employee back in 2003.
I think the award for this matter really goes to presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, who after standing by her husband, former president Bill Clinton, during the Monica Lewinsky sex scandal pulled enough public attention and support to become the first legitimate female candidate for presidency in U.S. history. I guess all of these women have found the silver lining in the dark cloud of their public humiliation. What we can learn from these women is that when your man messes up, don't go "Waiting to Exhale" on him, stand by his side as long as you can and milk the scandalous cow for all it's worth.
